Welcome to The Waterloo Inn

Your local.
And so much more.

Traditional pub character, friendly faces and plenty of reasons to visit. Enjoy established cask favourites alongside regularly changing guest ales, with beers, ciders, wines and spirits to suit your evening.

Settle into one of our two indoor rooms, enjoy the front terrace or head to the large rear beer garden. We’re dog friendly, too — bring your four-legged companion along for the welcome.

01

Raise a glass

We take our beer seriously. Our expanded guest ale selection sits alongside established favourites, and our first Burton Ale Trail brought new visitors through the door — many of whom came back for another pint.

02

Unwind in the garden

Our newly developed rear beer garden is a place to catch up, stretch out and enjoy the outdoors. With its own purpose-built stage, it also comes alive for music and community celebrations.

About us

A family pub.
A personal welcome.

We’re Paul, Sam and Luke Woodward — a father and two sons from Winshill. The Waterloo was our local long before we took it on in February 2026. We knew what made it special, and wanted to keep that spirit alive.

Luke runs the pub day to day, while Sam looks after our social media, marketing and communications. Together with Paul and the Waterloo team, we’re building on everything we love about a traditional Burton pub: good beer, familiar faces and a proper pub atmosphere.

Our regulars and friends are our “Waterlooers”. Whether you’ve been coming for years or are finding us for the first time, we want you to feel part of that community — with more music, more get-togethers and plenty of good times ahead.

Saturday nights are for live music. We also make room for singing, dancing, karaoke and themed celebrations — from Eurovision parties to festive get-togethers.

04

Catch the action

Share the highs, the nerves and the cheers of a big match on our screens. From a quiet catch-up before kick-off to a pub full of supporters, it’s sport with proper local atmosphere.

Our garden, turned up

And then came W-Fest.

Our first W-Fest transformed the beer garden into a mini music festival. A purpose-built outdoor stage welcomed six performing artists, alongside street-food vans, children’s entertainment and a DJ playing under the stars.

Regulars, families and first-time visitors came together for a day of music and celebration — a glimpse of what a traditional local can become when its community gets together.
